Summit Psychology is a boutique women’s mental health practice in Los Angeles, California serving clients throughout California and other remote locations via teletherapy. We are growing and looking to hire a CA-based licensed therapist.
This role is a part-time position, so the ideal therapist can expect to build up their case-load over overtime (expect about 3-4 months). This role can transition to full-time for the right person. This role is a good fit for someone who is interested in the client work of private practice but is disinterested in the administrative work (i.e., marketing, billing, etc.). We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice, seeing a minimum of 10 clients per week, and is interested in a long-term position.
Compensation varies based on licensure and experience $75 - $125 per 50-minute individual session and $100 - $150 per 50-minute couples session. Clients are seen via telehealth unless you would like to see clients in person in Los Angeles (arranged on a clinician-by-clinician basis).
We pride ourselves on supporting strong and ambitious women using evidence-based techniques; this is a must to be considered for a position. Additionally, an interest in psychodynamic approaches is preferred.
Our Clients:
We primarily work with adults (18+) in long-term individual therapy. Occasionally, we get requests for couples therapy.
Most of our clients are high-achieving women (generally in business/tech) who are struggling with relationships, mood disorders, trauma, and executive functioning challenges (ADHD). Our clients also tend to struggle with life transitions (pregnancy, motherhood), complex family dynamics, work-life balance, and stress.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Licensed mental health therapist in California (licensure in other states is a plus, but not required)
Passionate about empowering strong women
Understands the complex interplay between the roles and expectations that women face in the world
Skilled in working with depression, anxiety, life transitions (pregnancy, motherhood), complex family dynamics, work-life balance, and/or relationship issues.
Experience with ADHD and/or trauma is a plus
Extensive experience working with evidence-based treatments
Open to psychodynamic perspectives
Comfortable with building their caseload over time
Someone who can operate independently, but also values collaboration
A life-long learner who loves working with clients
Responsibilities:
See minimum of 10 clients per week via telehealth
Conduct free 30-minute consultation calls with prospective clients
Complete session documentation in a timely manner
Provide clients with a Good Faith Estimate (template provided)

Competitive compensation: Varies based on licensure and experience $75 - $125 per 50-minute individual session and $100 - $150 per 50-minute couples session.
W-2, Part-time with the opportunity to transition to full time and receive benefits after one year
Ability to fully control and manage your schedule
Ability to self-select clients (work with the clients you want to work with)
Weekly consultation with the practice owner, Dr. Branda
Opportunities for networking, speaking, blogging, etc. (if interested)
